SWISS-GARDEN GOLF RESORT & SPA DAMAI LAUT, LUMUT - DAY 1

15 SEPTEMBER 2012, SATURDAY

Woke up as early as on a working day but with a totally different mood altogether as we are going for a short 3 days 2 nights trip to Damai Laut, Lumut for the first time.

Everyone got very excited especially little Kit boy and once we have placed all the luggage bags into the car boot; off we go to pick up PIL at about 8:00am.

At about 10:30am, we reached Bidor and made our first stop for brunch at Pun Chun Restaurant for their 鸭腿面. It was jam packed with patron and we actually waited for 15-20 minutes for the seat.  I believed that majority of the patrons were came from KL as most of the car parked at the side were KL car plate number.

Besides the yummylicious 鸭腿面, Pun Chun is also selling various types of biscuits and snacks including the well-known chicken biscuits at the counter in the restaurant.

Before we left Pun Chun Restaurant, little Kit boy spotted this Angry Bird 'tau sah peh' in one of the nearby confectionary shop and immediately he asked for it.  Kit boy selected three at RM9.00 in total and it is still sitting nicely on our dining table....too cute to eat :)

Our next stop after about 40 minutes drive, lunch at Yau Kee Restaurant in Kampar where the famous curry chicken bread (面包鸡) originated .

Restoran Yau Kee (Roti Ayam) Kampar
No. 55 & 57, Jalan Idris
31900 Kampar, Perak
Tel: 05-465 1738

Little Kit boy admiring at those 'huge' buns that are ready to be served.

Despite Kit boy can't take any spicy food yet at this point in time but he definitely loves those freshly baked bread.....emmm, delicious.

After a scrumptious and unique lunch in Kampar, we then continued with our journey and reached Swiss-Garden Golf Resort & Spa Damai Laut at 3:15pm.  Just the right time for check-in and we were allocated room number 317 and 318.  Despite the big crowd of guests due to the long holiday break but the check-in process was rather fast.

The rooms are quite spacious, clean and I personally find it very comfortable except for the view..... no view actually cos we are facing the open car park.

Kit boy always enjoy staying in hotel room especially this time round when we got him a baby cot cos there is no more extra bed available for us.

Everyone was so tired and can't wait to take a short nap except for Kit boy as he has already taken his in the car while we were on the way to the resort after lunch. In order to keep him occupied and also to keep the room absolutely quiet for Daddy to have a good rest after driving for so many hours, Mommy decided to bring this energetic fella to the swimming pool for a good splashing time.

Daddy came down to the pool and joined us about two hours later just for a short half-an-hour before we go for our dinner.  Table reservation was made earlier at the Blossom & Thai Taste Restaurant in the resort for our first day dinner.

Daddy slowly screened through the Menu and ordered the following dishes for dinner.

Fresh Fish Fillet with Century Egg Soup @ RM30.00

Fish Fillet with Ginger & Spring Onion @ RM25.00

Garlic Fried Seasonal Vegetable @ RM25.00

Seafood Beancurd in Claypot @ RM30.00

Buttered Sea Prawn in Oats @ RM40.00

Thai Style Wrap Chicken in Pandan Leaf @ RM45.00
Total bill was RM239.55 inclusive of all other charges but because Mommy bought the meal vouchers earlier at RM150.00 (worth RM240.00), so we just paid it off with the vouchers.

Overall the food served in Blossom & Thai Taste Restaurant is tasty especially the Thai style wrap chicken in pandan leaf...emmm two-thumbs up.

We called off our first day in Damai Laut right after dinner for a good rest.

    1. Actually there are many things that you can do in the resort such as various type of sea base activities like banana boat and etc, and also others like jungle trekking, flying fox and etc.

Meanwhile for kids, besides the swimming pool, there have this Turtle's Kids Club where children can do some crafting activitives like sand art, key-chain and t-shirt painting.

Another attraction would be their Samsara Spa.

But of course, all the above are chargeable.

  8. I been to lumut for a business trip while working in PJ many years ago..Lumut is by the sea if i can remember..lots of dried seafood. RM25.00 for seasonal vegetable is a bit expensive..but that's the price at the resort..your voucher of RM150.00 is worth it.
