CHICKEN POX VACCINATION

07 JUNE 2009, SUNDAY

As mentioned in my earlier post, Kit boy was actually due for his chicken pox vaccination but we have been delaying it mainly due to the widespread of Influenza A (H1N1) virus that affects almost 73 countries around the world as at today, including Malaysia. But now, looking into the number of children being infected by chicken pox recently partly due to the current hot weather, Daddy and Mommy decided not to differ it any longer and brought Kit boy for the jab today as prevention is always better than cure.

As usual, Mommy drove to the clinic as early as 8:00am for registration and Kit boy was the second in the waiting list. Mommy then went back home to pack Kit boy’s stuff before bringing him to see Dr. Yek for the chicken pox jab and maybe some routine check-up. Today, our boy cried out loudly when the jab was given. Actually he was already crying even before the jab was given. Even though Kit boy was very cranky and was not cooperative at all but we have got something extra besides the normal formula milk sample from the clinic. Guess what? Well, it was a toy (complimentary by Anmum to the clinic) given by Dr. Yek before we walked out from the consultation room. Thanks Doc.

According to Dr. Yek, chicken pox vaccination is only one dose and after this, the next would be the Pneumococcal booster jab scheduled to be taken on 07 July 2009 (Tuesday). But since we always preferred weekends, most probably we will be re-scheduling it to either on the 04th or 11th of July 2009. Meanwhile, I have also obtained green light by Dr. Yek to give our boy this Scott’s Emulsion Cod Liver Oil as supplement.

Scott's Emulsion is rich in cod liver oil which is a natural source of Omega-3 Vitamin A & D, calcium and phosphorus. It helps children to build their natural body resistance to infections like coughs and colds and develop strong bones and teeth during their growing years. It is a brand trusted by mothers for generations to help protect their children from coughs and colds, so that they will grow strong and healthy. Scott's Emulsion is available in two variants : Original and Orange flavours.

  1. Hai! Thanks for dropping by at my blog.
May I know how should I address you?

You have a very cute boy. His name is Kit?
He has a very fair skin complexion, handsome boy.

About introducing lotus root to him, maybe you need to chop it finely so that he could chew it properly. Good luck!

Oh yes, mind if I add your blog into my blogroll?
